Computers

There are many things that have changed and have become easier to do since the invention of computers.

  1. ATMs used by banks to allow the withdrawal of cash would not have been possible in the absence of computers
  2. Measuring distance between planets is possible and much easier after the invention of computers
  3. Launching of rocket pads are initiated by the use of computers
  4. Writing letters on type-writers were more cumbersome in absence of computers. This is because typewriters do not possess “saving” capability unlike computers. Furthermore it also did not allow changes to be made without rubbing the contents thus making the work untidy.
  5. Computers possess the capability of data storage whereby millions of gigabytes worth of data (thousands of documents) can be stored, Instead of the use of filing cabinets etc
  6. Computers are very flexible in indexing and retrieval of the stored data. This feature enables us to find any file, document etc. within no time from a mountain of data.
  7. Computers enable easy communication between people by means of e-mail and chat. This method of communication makes the need of writing letters on paper and posting them unneeded.
