How to Change the Color of Your Command Prompt

This guide shows you how to change the color of your command prompt, background color and text color.

Want to amaze your friends by changing to the color of your command promt, well now you can and it will only take a few minutes. Here we go,

  1. Open your Command Prompt. Hold the "windows key" and press "R". Then type in "CMD" and hit "enter".
  2. Right Click on the CMD icon, in the top left corner or anywhere along that top bar.
  3. Click "Properties" and Go to the "Colors" tab of the window that opens.
  4. Select the "Screen Background" Bubble and Pick a color. If the one that you want is not a preset you can make it with the Selected Color Values box. Do the same for the "Screen Text" bubble. (I like to choose black for the background and lime green for the text to make it look like the matrix.)
  5. Click "ok". When the pop-up box comes up. Select the bottom option and then "Ok".

You're done!

Now go show your friends how cool it looks.
