Hello, I'm Kyle and this is my guide to making your computer faster. I used to have this problem; I used to have to wait about 5 minutes for my computer to load before I could do anything. So here it goes and I hope it helps.
Firstly, I will talk about unwanted programs. These take up the most space on your pc.Any programs you do not use or do not help you, delete them!
WARNING!: Do not delete any internal programs needed to run your computer. These include: The programs with pictures of a computer and a disk below it, a picture of a computer tower or a program where your computer makers name is included.
Secondly, deleting browsing history. When you're surfing the net, internet explorer saves every site you visit! Do delete this simply open internet explorer, click on tools then browsing history, then Click delete all; or if you want save something like your cookies, click delete on the others individually
A great program to automatically do this for is CCleaner
Next is to do with the start-up of your computer. When you log into windows, all of your programs load up at once, which makes your computer take time to load. You can stop some programs loading at the start.
WARNING: only un-tick the programs you have installed e.g. Microsoft office. Do not tick a program if you don't know what it does.
To do this, click start, run and type in msconfig and press ok.Then click start-up, then finally, untick programs you want to not load. These are usually at the bottom of the list.
Now the final tip. This is probably for the performance nutters.Click on control panel, system, advanced, performance settings and finally adjust for best performance and apply.
Thanks for reading my guide, hope it helped!
