The age-long question has lingered on our minds for years. Since the computer chip era of history, the world seems to have segregated into two. The two groups being Mac users, and Windows users. There being an agressive conflict between the two, both of these companies have been trying to prove to the public that their product is more efficient, stylish, and simply better. But will we ever truly know which one of these operating systems has the lead in the cyber age?
There is no definite answer to this. However, there are pros and cons that can help lead you to a final decision. Many of you have seen Apple?s agressive new advertising campaign, some impressed, and others not so much. Also, Microsoft is slowly coming around the corner with their coming release of Windows Vista. Both companies have a nice bundle to offer, but we just can?t decide.
Lucky for you, I have already decided. being a Mac user myself, recently converting from Windows, I am now realizing that I should?ve switched long before. The simplicity and the power that Apple?s Macs have to offer is simply astounding...let me explain. I bought my Apple iBook last year, took it out of the box, pressed the power button, and walla! The whole system booted up instantaneously, with all the needed software ready to go and in place. Oh and when I say needed software, I mean everything you will ever need software. These systems come with iLife (Apple bundle with photo, movie, and music editing programs). For the creative user, nothing can be better.
I want to debunk some myths that may be on your minds. ?Apple computers cost a fortune?...Wrong! Yes, the base cost may be more expensive, but a Mac user will never have to go over the base cost, because it comes with everything. On a PC you pay a cheaper base cost, but your computer comes with no decent software whatsoever (unless you consider Notepad a necessity). The next myth... ?Apple computers aren?t compatible with anything?...Wrong! Today we have Microsoft Office for Macintosh, and loads of software that works for both systems, but wait ?till you hear the winning argument. Today with Apple?s integration with Intel chips, not only is it much faster, but you can actually run the Windows operating system on your Mac! Yes it is true, so if you ever change your mind about Mac, just press a button and use Windows for the day.
