Create an Invisible Folder

Can't find a place where you can store files which won't be found by anybody? Create an invisible folder!

  1. Create a "New Folder".
  2. Press on it with the right mouse button and select "Rename".
  3. Now hold ALT and type 0 1 6 0.
  4. Press on it with the right mouse button and select "Properties".
  5. Select "Customize" and press "Change Icon".
  6. Select Invisible Icon and apply it.

I'm actually impressed at how well this works. Doesn't even show up when using the DIR command and hard to see in most views.

Zenka,with all due respect it's way easier just to go propperties press "hiden" and it's way better.What Robin ment was that you dont see an icon but it says 0 1 6 0 .

Well that is a good thing too, but you won't be able to do that on your desktop :) You can still see it.
