How to speed your computer up

Some simple tips that will help you maintain your computer and make it faster, plus clear up old junk not needed

Making your computer faster is simple all you need to do is these simple tasks.

Firstly remove any programs you have on your computer that you don’t use anymore to do this go to your control panel then add and remove programs and begin to uninstall all the programs that are not used.

Once all programs are uninstalled the next step is to scout your computer for any files that you have had saved that you no longer use and begin to delete them off, once you have deleted them all off please empty your recycle bin to fully remove them.

Now Create a system restore point, go to all programs, accessories and then system tools you should find the tool in there, create a back up point and let’s move on.

Now in the system tools section choose disc clean up, and select all the option s in the pop up and then begin a disc clean up this will delete all the old files that the system does not use and basically clean your hard drive of windows and internet junk.

Once this as done go back to the folder and begin a disk defragmenter this will move all the files on your hard drive and will help speed your computer up.

Once this is done the next step is to stop all the unwanted auto start programs, go to start and run and type in msconfig and press enter, go to the start up tab and then select all the programs you don’t want to auto start and apply this.

The next step is to go to my computer and on the top choose tools then select disconnect network drives and remove any networks you do not use.

Once a day I perform a disk defrag and a disk clean up to keep my computer running fast, these are some simple tips, if anything should go wrong you can restore your computer to the previous point you created and everything will be back to normal.
