Hello everyone today im going to help you with something everyone is always complaining about. How to speed up your computers startup. All you have to do is follow a few simple tips that you will read below. So hope you find the information useful.
- You can start by going to you Start Menu > Run and type in "msconfig" without the quotes. Go over to the startup tab and uncheck all the programs that you don't need or use. You can now close that window.
- Now you can go back to Start Menu > Run and type "prefetch" without quotes. A window should pop up. Select all files in the window and delete them. Don't worry you don't need anything in this folder. Everything in here is for startup information. Information for programs to start but most people have uninstalled programs that used to startup when they turned on there computer and are no longer there waisting valuable startup time. Without the information there the computer dose not try to start them. Making your startup time shorter.
- For the last thing to help your computer start up faster is to Defragment your hard drives. Head to your Start Menu > Run once again. type in "dfrg.msc" with out the quotes. A window should pop up and it will have a list of the hard drives you have in your computer. To start click the analyze button. This will tell you if you should do it or not. It is a good idea to test this at least once a month. Now if it says you don't need to defragment you can close the window. If not click defragment button. Now only bad part of this is it will take a wile to defragment so grab some coffee or what ever you like to drink while waiting.
- Now you can restart your computer
That is my tips for now hope you find them helpful. Don't forget to defragment your computer at least once a month. Take my tips and tell your friends that complain about computer startup problems.
