Windows Automatic Update Drive Idea

Having problems updating and worrying about hard drive space? Maybe we need a Windows Automatic Update Drive.

There is Windows 3.1, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows NT, Windows XP, and Windows Vista. There is update, update, and update. What we need is a special external drive made just for Windows that can automatically keep our computer updated. Do you know why? It’s because we can’t win. It should be the kind of external drive that we can inject and eject from our computer. You won’t have to worry about the drive and space built into your computer when something goes wrong having an external off to the side.

There should be a slot made on the computer just for it. When we inject the drive, it should be able to update from the Microsoft page on the internet every time there is a new version of Windows. For those that don’t like update, can eject the external drive from their computer or turn off the drive to automatically go back to their old version of Windows. The old version can remain on your computer if you choose to install it again. The new version can remain on your external drive. You can run the new version only from your external drive. It can leave a shortcut to your computer. You can also save the new version to your computer altogether and delete the old. Different choices might be nice.

I think a special update drive for Windows would be a good idea because, by the time we buy a new computer, it is an old computer. There is constant update and computers become very slow. Holes get into your security patches when you don’t update. Service Packs may require more hard drive space. A lot of patches are left in the control panel. There are always hackers to worry about. Sometimes computers crash and all sorts of things can happen. An automatic update external drive would be a good idea for storing patches and updates. When the updates are old, you can delete them from your external drive or it could be deleted automatically.

Windows XP

Think about Windows XP. There are many versions of Windows XP. Windows XP Home Edition, and Windows XP Professional. Someone can get really confused. Now we have Windows Vista. Some people just can’t keep up. Some people argue and get frustrated. I think a Windows automatic update drive would be a perfect idea to save everyone some trouble. Notice that I said I think. With computers, we always run into some kind of problem and some of us can‘t get no satisfaction. What do you think? What’s your idea?

That was a really great idea. I have Windows XP so that would be really helpful.

I have Vista now and there are a few small changes to get used to but it has its niggles too!

I have got to see what's good about Vista and if it's better than XP. I'm hoping in the future that we won't have to change so much.

The reason for the changes is to keep people in jobs and creating money! It is frustrating that it changes so quickly and more for financial reasons rather than its no good. This is how the world speeds up!

Yea, you are right. Well, as long as my computer still works with internet, I'll be alright, although some things will need updating. I think internet is the main reasons why computers mess up as fast as they do. I still have my old Tandy computer. They don't make them anymore. It's real slow. Slow as a snail. But it was never hooked up to the internet and it still works.

If they make your idea, they will probably make a whole new kind of computer. They might even have that in mind for the future. Computers are not getting cheaper for nothing. There is constant change all of the time.
