Job Description of a Java Developer

The job description of a java web developer. Includes my opinions as well as facts on the job.

A java developer is obviously someone who works with java to create web-based programs. Usually a Java developer works on a development team for a company. This team meets deadlines while working on projects for the company. In many cases a Java developer will work on multiple, usually small projects, something along the lines of object oriented design or programming, JAVA, J2EE, JSP, Servlets, JDBC, XML, RDBMS, or Workflow. Java developers are needed today due to the rapid increase of technologies and computer based jobs, and needs for specific websites and programs based from java scripting. Employers want very current websites and programs to run their businesses, so java developers are hired in a variety of companies ranging from private business to government work. I would enjoy having this job, it would be interesting and all I would have to know would be the Java code, what goes along with it, and how it is applied to the modern world.

Java Developer Job Facts and My Personal Opinions

A java developer today, is preferred to have a Bachelors Degree in Computer Sciences and several years experience with computers, or code related jobs. Many java developers are employed by the government, as full time employees, managing java based systems and web programs. As a developer they are paid relatively well, with a median salary of around $75,000, not including added bonuses and benefits that come along with the job. I would consider this job for a career, it allows a very clear path in which you can succeed, and you would just have to know the scripting and how it is applied.
