Do You Like Animation?
Before you go and try animating you have to ask yourself if you really want to animate. If your answer is yes then keep reading because I have the guide to get you started.
What Program to Use
So, you don't know what animating program to check out? Let's find the least complicated one out there. The best beginner program I know is pivot. I've seen 12 year olds master it. Just go onto google and use your keyboard to type in “pivot download” (without the quotes would be smart too). Find a download site and … well…. Download it like the billions of humans know how to. That was probably the easiest step.
How to Use Pivot
Pivot is easy like I said before, but like everything in the world it will take getting used to. First thing you need to know is that pivot works using frames. Basically, it's like quickly taking 100 pictures or so and playing 20 every second in a row. The first thing is to get a stick. Pivot comes with a stick figure so practice with that stick figure. To move it is like moving the joints of a real person. You would click and drag the dots to move the stick. To make a frame or “take a picture” click next frame. Keep slowly moving the stick and creating frames until you have around 20 or 30. Then click play to see you creation. As you get good you can add more sticks by pressing the arrow on the drop down menu that shows the names of sticks you've used. There is also a color button, delete button, and flip button. As you feel comfortable you can make projects with as many frames as you want.
Getting New Sticks
To get new sticks you can either download ones for droidz.org or make your own. If you are going to download them then search around on the site for a good one, download it, and then move to wherever you saved you pivot files in the sticks folder. Then, on the top of your screen click file load figure type and look for the file. If you want to make a stick then click file create figure type. Then you have to use their stick making system which I won't get into. Then save your stick and use it.
Go on Your Own
Go on your own and create animations galore. Good luck! If you want to see an example then go to youtube and type in 77xet to check out my animations.
