Computer Tricks

Stuff most people don't know about computers.

This is really helpful for that person that you talk to online but don't really like. This only works (as far as I know), if they have Windows.

How To Close Out Programs Without A Mouse

This may not work unless they know a little about computers.

  1. Have them press Ctrl + Alt + Delete.
  2. Then have them press End as many times as you desire.
  3. Tell them to do this fast or it won't work.
  4. With any luck they will close out any or all programs running.

So, you want to make it easier for the person looking down on the computer to see it?

Change The View On A Laptop

Here is a way to change the screen facing.

  1. Press Ctrl + Alt + *An arrow key*
  2. Down = normal
  3. Up = Upside down
  4. Left = Faces left
  5. Right = Faces right

Wanna take a picture of what you are doing?

Take a Picture Of Your Screen

  1. Press Prt Scr button near the top right of your keyboard. It should be right after the F keys.
  2. Now, open paint and press Ctrl + V or Edit=>Paste.
  3. Now, do what ever you want to the picture, and save.

It's fun to find what characters you can make.

Make Strange Characters

  1. Depending on what your word processor is, you can find it in Insert=>Symbols.
  2. But their is an easier way, the Alt key.
  3. Press Alt + *Any keys on the keypad you want*
  4. Such as: "Alt + 0 + 2 + 2 + 2" gives you "Þ"

Experiment with this and see what you can find .
