Step 1 Make a workable size, in this case 640x840 pixels. Then add noise.

Step 2 Invert the color of the entire canvas.

Step 3 Create a layer of clouds using the Filter>Render>Clouds. Multiply this layer with the background and adjust Opacity. Make or copy another cloud layer.

Step 4 Create a blue layer using the add color layer effect. Don't forget to adjust Blending mode to Overlay.

Step 5 Make circle on another layer. Fill this with the Gradient tool to add shadows.

Step 6 Find a great texture from your file and Filter it with Spherize.

Step 7 Drag the texture pic and Multiply this to the previous circle.

Step 8 Make another layer and create a white circle. Filter this with Gaussian Blur. Blending mode should be Multiply. Copy this layer to bring out more stars. Copy another layer and Make the Blending mode Lighten, then drag this a little bit to the side.

Step 9 Merge the Planet layer and Copy. This time add another color for the planet using Effect>Add color layer. Don't forget to use Blending mode: Overlay.

Step 10 Create another for the rings and using the Marquee tool, fill it with a 3px white stroke.

Step 11 Filter this using the Gaussian Blur. Then create 2 more copies and adjust.

Step 12 Adjust the placement of the rings, merge and change Blending Mode to Screen. Place the ring and erase unnecessary placements.

Step 13 After finally adjusting some elements you think is necessary, flatten the image. For final touch, add a filter using Lens flare. Don't forget to periodically save your work.

Adobe Systems Inc has launched Photoshop Express in an effort to capitalize on the growing trend among teens, young adults and an array of web users who are posting videos and pictures online at a rapid rate. Web users who provide content for YouTube, MySpace, Facebook, Hi5 and blogs now have an additional outlet in Photoshop Express where they can edit their content before posting them online.

Adobe's launch of the free Photoshop Express online comes year after photo-editing/sharing companies such as Photobucket Inc, Picnik and Shutterfly Inc made available their free online photo services. But even as Adobe enters the online photo-editing market much later than their competitors, the photo-editing giant hopes that its notoriety among users offline and worldwide will garner the results they want for Photoshop Express.

Adobe says it hopes that by providing Photoshop Express for free online that many online users will not only choose their free service over the competition, but also that online users will upgrade from Photoshop Express to other Photoshop software such as Photoshop Elements. So, the launch of a free Photoshop Express online is as much a strategic move to generate sales of its pricier software as it to drive online traffic from Adobe's competitors.

To use Photoshop Express online web users are required to have Flash 9 players and the free version comes equipped with two gigabytes of storage space online. Amateur photographers can find basic editing tools such as cropping, sharpening, red eye correction, imaging rotation and converting images to black and white that is already available on other Photoshop software.

John Nack, senior product manger for Photoshop, confirmed the development of Photoshop Express last year after industry insiders floated the rumors for months. The confirmation of the free online Photoshop Express last year also followed the introduction of Adobe Premiere Express, a free online video editor that was previously launched.

A: Brushes are stamps that you put on an image to give it more complexity and style.

Finding brushes is simple; you type “brushes” on any search engine and there should be many brush sites. Once you find a brush “set” that you like you must download it onto your computer.

If the brush set is Photoshop compatible and it is a .abr file, then download it to the following directory. If not, then skip the following:

Before you can use your new brush you have to do the following. Open up Photoshop, and click on the brushes window. If the window is not already open then go window - brushes on the top bar.

Click on the arrow in the top right corner and click load brushes. Open the brushes file that you downloaded earlier and the brushes should appear at the end of the list of loaded brushes.

For other files

For most other brush sets, there should be a “stamps” option available. Copy the stamps image into Photoshop. Next, use a selection tool to select one of the brushes. With the selection, go to edit - define brush preset on the top bar.

You can also do the same for custom brushes. Just draw your brush and follow the steps above for other files.

To use the brush, use either the pencil or brush tool and click on the brush you want to use, and insert it into the image. You can change the brush size at the bottom of the window.
