I have no love for Vista. The sight of Aero makes me sick, and the sight of that turning wheel almost drives me to computicide. Unfortunately the little perks of Vista do not compensate for the high RAM demand just for eye candy and the lack of compatible drivers which all cut into work speed compared to XP.

So...there i was, it was dark, nothing seemed to move outside...was i nervous, definitely. my right hand approached the mouse; a shudder came over as if somewhere inside my body was screaming this was the wrong thing to do. my mouse pointer lingered over the install button, and eventually the click was heard, rejoice, for i had then and there started my journey into the world of Linux and open source software...the sojourn from windows to Linux begins.
